SANTA BARBARAWINE COUNTRY
“I have run over 100 half marathons and this year, 2022 was particularly special because I took on the golden state challenge. Which means I started with the Napa To Sonoma at the top of California, ran all the way down the coast to Surf City, Long Beach, and just finished here running the bridge in San Francisco. So tons of hills, lots of flats, right along the ocean, absolutely. There’s finish line festivals with wine and beer guardedly square and I love the golden state challenge, it makes you feel like you took on something really special.”
From sand to sun, rolling hills paired with wine, or cruising through the streets of San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge – you can run the Golden State we call California and take on the challenge of a lifetime!
The Golden State Run Series was created to build a Challenge for runners who are passionate about running and experiencing all of California, all year long. Your Challenge is achieved once you run in any 4 events of 5K distance or greater in 2023.
The Golden State Challenge offers run experiences throughout California with beachfront, wine country, and city courses followed by iconic finish line festivals to share your achievement with friends and other GSC participants.
